Who am I proud of?

Who am I proud of? What has this person become? What has she gone through to get there? What would it take for me to move in the same direction?

I am proud of a man of purpose who has gone through a most crippling disability during nearly a decade, that crushed his dreams and hopes.

There, at the bottom of the pit, he found a source of light and love. He got out of the pit to become a man of purpose.

His purpose guides him, giving him certainty about what next step is in the personal and in the professional arenas, while at the same time accepting the utter unknowability of what his future will be.

Much to learn from my son I have.
